Brief:
The brief for this project was to construct a new large scale public children’s playground which was a part of an overall masterplan for the site designed by the practice some years earlier.
Description:
The playground was designed from the ground up as part of the masterplan for the site close to and existing MUGU court and the Gaelic Handball Club. The practice worked closely with the community groups and parents in formulating the layout and the units that would go to make up the final layout and design. The best use was made out of the site and existing facilities by integrating rather than replacing existing facilities on site that were still in a good condition.
